Foundational Engineer

We are an AI research lab working vertically on industrial technology. We are building the models that will define industrial autonomy. As a Foundational Engineer, you will own the territory where intelligence meets the physical world, mapping deep constraints and transforming raw operational curiosity into robust architectural systems.

Expect to focus on

  • Deconstruct complex industrial systems and translate them into concrete product specifications for our AI.
  • Rapidly prototype applied AI solutions using state-of-the-art models and agentic workflows.
  • Own the primary architecture for vertical autonomy and intelligence logic.
  • Research and implement patterns that allow AI to safely and effectively interact with physical infrastructure.
  • Architect scalable system blueprints that push the boundaries of what is possible in industrial settings.

You may be a good fit if you

  • Demonstrated capability of architecting and solving ambiguous technical problems from absolute zero.
  • Deep technical curiosity and a drive to understand how things work at a fundamental level.
  • High fluency in Python and experience with modern AI orchestration frameworks.
  • A strong appetite for deep research and the ability to parse complex technical documentation.
  • Strong operational flexibility; you adapt to new evidence quickly and thrive on ambiguity.

InquisLab is for you if

  • You want supreme autonomy over the direction of AI research in the industrial vertical.
  • You are driven by the question of what curiosity can do for humanity when applied to our most critical systems.
  • You want to be an engineering pillar in a lab that values deep technical work and rapid iteration.
